This three-decade old contest is run by the Magazine Division of AEJMC. The Magazine Division is a group of journalism professors who teach courses in magazine writing, editing, design and management at dozens of universities around the world.

The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, or AEJMC, is a major international membership organization for academics in the field, offering regional and national conferences and refereed publications. It has numerous membership divisions, interest groups, publications and websites.

Entry fee is $20 per entry, payable by check only to AEJMC Student Magazine Contest. Please write one check to cover all fees from a school. Send checks to Carol Holstead, 1435 Jayhawk Blvd., University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS 66045

To enter the contest, click on "Enter" and follow the prompts for "Open Call Contestant Login." In the dialogue box, you will see "Open Call Contestant Login" at the bottom. After you set up an account, the contest manager will authorize you to enter via email. When you have been authorized, you will be able to upload entries. You will always sign in as an "Open Call Contestant." Look for that button on the log-in pages. RULES & ELIGIBILITY This contest is open to all higher education programs. Entries are limited to classroom or closely advised magazine projects and must be submitted by an academic adviser. Individual student entries are not allowed. Each school is limited to five entries per category. First place winners in each category are awarded $100.
